Dental Bridges
Dental bridges are literally fabricated to "bridge" the gap created by one or more missing teeth.
A dental bridge is made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the space. The two anchoring teeth are called abutment teeth, which are used to support the replacement teeth in the centre. Dental bridges can be supported by natural teeth or implants.
Dental bridges are fabricated from a highly durable and natural-looking porcelain material. They are custom-made to careful specifications and even the colour is matched precisely to ensure a perfect result.
Very similar to the crown treatment process, bridges can require multiple visits to our practice. These visits include meticulous preparation, often with the use of microscopic dentistry to ensure the correct fit can be achieved. At the final visit, the bridge will be fitted and carefully examined to ensure the colour is an exact match and the fit is no less than perfect before being permanently secured.
