Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are custom-fabricated shells of tooth-like porcelain material. When applied over the surface of a tooth they can mask uneven tooth alignment, cover worn tooth enamel or repair chips and cracks.
Dental veneers can provide a whiter smile with perfectly aligned, shapely teeth. Even better, the translucent quality of porcelain offers a more natural look than what has been available in the past. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, dental veneers can also serve a functional purpose by protecting the surface of your damaged tooth. In some cases, veneers may replace the need for a dental crown, eliminating the need for extensive tooth preparation.
Because dental veneers are thin, they sometimes require minimal tooth reshaping during the preparation process. They are extremely strong and can last up to 15 years, assuming they are properly maintained through regular brushing and regular dental examinations.
