You need to visit the dentist twice a year or every six months. Lasers can be used to eradicate bad bacteria which causes gum disease and gum inflammation. If negative bacteria is left untreated periodontal pockets can form which can result in severe decay, tooth rotting and gum disease which is irreversible. Lasers are also used in the management of periodontitis in order to decrease symptoms and decrease the risk of tooth loss.
