Replacing Missing Teeth with Quality Dental Implants
Dental Implants: A Revolutionary Solution to Tooth Loss
Now you can replace missing teeth and transform your smile with high-quality dental implants for a perfect dental restoration
There is only one thing that is better for your oral health than a dental implant: your natural teeth. The dental implant treatment is a comprehensive treatment that restores the whole tooth: root and all.
If you’re missing several teeth or all of your teeth, our all-on-4 or all-on-6 dental implants may be the perfect solution. These procedures involve placing four or six dental implants to support a full arch of replacement teeth, giving you a fully functional and natural-looking smile.
What are the benefits of dental implants?
Apart from the obvious aesthetic rewards that accompany replacing missing teeth, dental implants have a number of benefits:
- If you have lost a tooth due to disease, decay or an accident a dental implant is a great way for you to reclaim your aesthetic appearance.
- If you have lost a number of your teeth or an entire arch dental implants can give you a static solution which many patients prefer over removable dentures.
Dental Implant Types and Methods

If you are missing a full arch of teeth and are looking for an alternative to dentures then our new, All-on-4 Dental Implant System may be right for you. With the All-on-4 Dental Implant System, four dental implants will generally be used on each arch (four on the lower and four on the upper). A custom-made full arch, restoration will then be made out of prosthetic gum and teeth. This will be permanently fixed to your four dental implants once the implants have fused with your jawbone. All-on-4 Dental Implants is a popular treatment for older patients who want to regain their permanent smile.
A Dental Implant is often used at the back of the mouth if you have lost multiple teeth to allow for the placement of a Dental Bridge. A dental implant will be placed at the rear of the mouth so that a dental bridge will have something to be attached to. A Dental Bridge is constructed out of a pontic (false tooth) and two exterior crowns which are connected on either side of the pontic. One of these crowns will be adhered to the dental implant and the other crown will connect to your existing natural teeth. We will construct your dental bridge in accordance with the rest of your natural smile so that the shape and colour fits cohesively. This will ensure optimal aesthetic appearance and superior function.

Replace Missing Teeth in 3 Easy Steps:
The Dental Implant process begins with the digital creation of your new smile so you can see what your future smile will look like beforehand. CT scans will then be ordered to evaluate the bone around the implant sites.
A custom-made, titanium implant will then be prepared and inserted into the place where your tooth once was. While your dental implant heals, you’ll be fitted with a temporary crown and your permanent one will be made.
Once your dental implant heals you will be fitted with a permanent dental crown that is the right shape and colour-matched to blend with your natural smile. You are then ready to share your new smile with the world!

Types of Dental Implants and Their Suitability
At our dental clinic, we believe it’s important to know your options when it comes to dental implants. Here’s a quick overview of what we offer for tooth replacement:
Exploring Different Types of Dental Implants
- Single-Tooth Implants: These are perfect for filling in that one missing tooth spot. They blend in well and feel just like your other teeth.
- Multiple-Tooth Implants: If you’ve lost several teeth, these implants give you solid support, restoring your ability to chew and smile.
- Full-Arch Implants: This option is great for anyone who has lost all teeth in one row. You can get a complete restoration with fewer implants.
Evaluating the Suitability of Implants Based on Individual Needs
When considering dental implants, everyone’s needs are different. Here’s what to keep in mind:
- Dental Consultation: Make an appointment at our dental clinic to chat about what you need.
- Pre-Implant Assessment: This includes x-rays and a thorough checkup to see if you’re a good fit for implants.

The Process of Dental Implant Placement
Dental implants are a popular and effective solution for tooth replacement. At our dental clinic, we specialize in this process. We’ll guide you through every step with skilled surgeons. Here’s what you can expect from the dental implant process.
Preparing the Jawbone for Implant Placement Through Bone Grafting (if Necessary)
Before a dental implant can be placed, we need to prepare the jawbone. This might include:
- Bone Grafting: If your jawbone is too thin or has lost some density due to tooth extraction, bone grafting can help restore its structure.
- Pre-Implant Assessment: During your first visit, our dental practitioners perform an oral examination to see if you need bone grafting.
- Rehabilitation: This early phase is crucial for your dental health and helps ensure a solid base for your new implant.
Implant Surgery: Placement of the Implant and Healing Period
The implant surgery is a key part of the process. Here’s what happens:
- Dental Implant Placement: Our cosmetic dentist carefully places the implant into your jawbone.
- Healing Process: After surgery, it takes time for the implant to bond with the jawbone. This bonding is important for long-term success.
- Dental Maintenance: Follow-up visits help us check how well your implant is integrating and monitor your recovery.
Prosthetic Restoration: Attaching the Dental Crown, Bridge, or Denture to the Implant
Once your implant has healed, it’s time for prosthetic restoration:
- Attaching a Dental Crown: We often use a crown as the final piece, ensuring it looks and works like a natural tooth.
- Dental Bridges and Dentures: If you need to replace multiple teeth, we can attach bridges or dentures to the implants.
- Aesthetic Dentistry: Our focus on cosmetic dentistry ensures that your restorations blend nicely with your existing teeth.
Maintaining Dental Implants for Long-Term Success
Taking care of your dental implants is vital for their longevity. Here are some helpful tips:
Proper Oral Hygiene Routines: Brushing, Flossing, and Regular Dental Checkups
Good daily habits are key for long-lasting dental implants:
- Brushing and Flossing: Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and floss regularly to keep your gums healthy.
- Dental Exams: Schedule regular checkups at our dental clinic to check the condition of your implants and your overall oral health.
- Periodontal Health: Good oral hygiene helps prevent gum disease, which can affect the success of your implants.
Managing Potential Risks and Complications: Peri-implantitis, Implant Failure
Like any surgery, dental implants come with some risks. Here’s how to manage them:
- Peri-implantitis: This gum disease can lead to inflammation around the implant. It’s crucial to watch for signs of trouble.
- Dental Anxiety: If you feel anxious about any parts of the dental process, let our team know. We’re here to help.
- Complications: Being aware of possible complications ensures you seek timely care if any concerns arise.
Lifestyle Modifications: Smoking Cessation, Avoiding Hard Foods
Certain lifestyle changes can greatly impact how long your dental implants last:
- Smoking Cessation: Quitting smoking can improve healing and lower the risk of implant failure.
- Dietary Considerations: It’s best to avoid hard foods that could break or stress your implants. A balanced diet promotes oral health.
- Health Awareness: Stay informed about how your choices affect your dental care and overall wellbeing.

The Benefits of Dental Implants in Ramsgate
Dental implants are a great choice for tooth replacement in Ramsgate. They provide many benefits that make them a top option for anyone with missing teeth. Here are some of the main advantages:
- Enhancing Oral Health and Preventing Further Tooth Loss Dental implants can help keep your dental health in check. When you have a missing tooth, it can cause bone loss. This loss can lead to more serious problems like gum disease. Implants are placed into the jawbone, giving you stability and support. This means they help you avoid issues that might need oral surgery or periodontal treatment.
- Restoring Functionality and Improving Bite One big benefit of implants is that they restore bite functionality. They align your teeth properly, making it easier to chew. Unlike dentures that might move around, fixed dentures supported by implants allow you to eat comfortably. This procedure helps bring back the full function of your mouth, so everyday tasks like eating are much simpler.
- Boosting Self-Confidence and Restoring Facial Aesthetics Missing teeth can hurt your smile and overall look. Dental implants can boost your self-confidence because they look just like real teeth. A cosmetic dentist can help create a smile makeover that fits well with your face. With new teeth, you’ll feel more confident smiling again!
- Comparing Dental Implants to Alternative Tooth Replacement Options: Bridges, Dentures There are different tooth replacement choices available, such as bridges and dentures. However, dental implants stand out:
- Durability: They last longer than traditional bridges or dentures.
- Comfort: Implants feel more like natural teeth compared to dentures.
- Bone Preservation: They help keep your jawbone intact, unlike bridges and dentures that might not.

What Our Patients Say About Our Practice
Very professional dentist, easy going, pleasant character that makes sure every step of the way you are comfortable and notified of the procedure…
Patients should have healthy gums and enough bone volume to support the implant. They also must be committed to good oral hygiene and regular dental visits. Heavy smokers, people suffering from uncontrolled chronic disorders (such as diabetes or heart disease), or patients who have had radiation therapy to the head/neck area need to be evaluated on an individual basis.
Currently there is no better treatment available for replacing a missing tooth. A dental implant treatment is an investment in the future of your oral health as the implants are permanent and create a strong and sturdy prosthetic tooth root.
Dental implants have a number of benefits. If you have lost a tooth due to disease, decay or an accident a dental implant is a great way for you to reclaim your confidence and aesthetic appearance. If you have lost a number of your teeth or an entire arch dental implants can give you a static solution which many patients prefer over removable dentures. This is because having a permanent smile is much easier to clean and you can feel like you still have your natural set of teeth.
Dental implants can be used to replace single or multiple missing teeth, while All-on implants support a full arch of replacement teeth on 4–6 implants. Careful planning and digital imaging can help guide placement, but all surgical procedures carry risks. Before implant surgery, habits such as smoking may need to be stopped for a period to support healing. Sometimes bone grafts or sinus lifts are required to provide enough bone for secure implant placement, and each of these procedures carries additional considerations.
- In the upper jaw, implants may be placed close to the sinus, and complications such as sinus involvement or reduced bone support can occur.
- In the lower jaw, implants may be near nerves that affect sensation to the lips, chin, or tongue. In rare cases, temporary or permanent changes in sensation may occur.
- Implants may occasionally fail to integrate with bone and need to be removed and replaced. Regular reviews every 4–6 months are important to detect and manage problems early.
- After surgery, it is common to experience swelling, bruising, or mild bleeding for several days. Pain may last 1–2 weeks and can usually be managed with medication.
- Patients are generally advised to avoid strenuous activity for at least 48 hours and limit exercise for about 10 days.
- Smoking increases the chance of implant failure and infection.
- Recovery often involves eating soft foods and, in some cases, arranging time off work or home support. Anaesthetic risks will be explained prior to surgery.
- Healing varies, but most people recover within two weeks.
- Long-term professional maintenance is necessary, and additional costs may apply.
The exact amount will be determined and explained to you ahead of any treatment. Contact our staff for more information. Your health fund should cover some of these costs and we also offer flexible payment plans so that you can pay your treatment off over a number of weeks or months.
