Dental Crowns and Bridges

At JustSMILE we use the very latest in dental technology

so that we can provide you with a dental crown or dental bridge in just one appointment to restore chipped or broken teeth, or simply to improve the look of your smile.

What are dental crowns?

A dental crown or a tooth crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over your natural tooth.  You may require a dental crown for a number of reasons including:

  • After root canal treatment
  • For a broken or chipped tooth
  • To replace an old filling
  • Or simply to improve the look of your smile:)

A dental crown, or tooth cap as they are sometimes referred to, will help protect your tooth from any further damage or infection.  If you have chipped or broken your tooth you can read more about what to do here.

The dental crown procedure here at JustSMILE in Ramsgate Sydney

At JustSMILE we’ve invested in the latest technology to provide you with beautiful, natural-looking tooth crowns in a single appointment.

Getting a dental crown used to be time-consuming. It involved numerous visits to the surgery, multiple lots of anaesthetic and a temporary crown placed over your tooth in-between appointments, making it hard to eat.

Now, we can make your dental crown right here in our surgery in one appointment.

Once Dr Rammo has prepared your tooth for the crown, we use a scanner to take 3D images of your teeth.

Dr Rammo designs your brand new tooth using the images and specialised software. Once designed, our milling machine is used to mill your tooth out of beautiful, strong and long-lasting porcelain. Benefits to crowns made using this technology include:

  • Well-fitting, long-lasting crowns
  • Natural looking, beautiful crowns that blend in with your teeth
  • 10-Year warranty for your peace of mind.

You can also watch the milling if you’d like! Then, we glue your new dental crown in place. Your same day dental crown also comes with a 10-year warranty.

What are dental bridges?

If you have missing teeth, a dental bridge can be used to “bridge” the gap. Here, a ‘fake’ tooth fills the gap of the missing tooth and is held in place by dental crowns. An alternative to dental bridges is to replace the missing teeth is dental implants. You can read more about dental implants here.

The dental bridge procedure

At JustSMILE we use the same technology to make dental crowns for dental bridges as well. Dental bridges are also made using long-lasting, natural-looking porcelain.

At JustSMILE, Dr Rammo stays at the forefront of dentistry, providing JustSMILE patients with the best modern dentistry has to offer. Servicing patients in Ramsgate, Kogarah, Hurstville and the Sutherland Shire.

Dr Rammo offers the E4D system. This technology facilitates same-day porcelain restorations – see the video above on how we do this.

How much do dental crowns cost?

The cost for your dental crown will typically be around $1,850 per crown. The exact amount will be determined and explained to you ahead of any treatment. Contact our staff for more information. Your health fund should cover some of these costs and we also offer flexible payment plans so that you can pay your crown off over a number of weeks or months.
