Teeth Whitening Before and After

Are there possible side effects to teeth whitening?

There is a risk of some side effects with teeth whitening. But the risks are much less when getting your teeth whitened professionally at the dentist, rather than at home or by an inexperienced person.  The most common side effect people report is gum sensitivity. This can sometimes happen after the procedure when a small amount of the gums come in contact with the bleaching agent. This sensitivity should only last for 48 hours and most patients either take paracetamol or nothing at all.
