Clear aligners

Instead of having one device cemented onto your teeth that is progressively tightened, you receive a series of aligners. These look like very thin, transparent mouth guards, but inside each one are carefully positioned pressure points that gently press on your teeth to get them to move. Once the teeth have moved (and you will know when it has happened because the aligner will feel like it fits), you discard it and put in the next one.

How long the treatment takes depends on how badly aligned your teeth are to start with, but with Invisalign, the average treatment time is one year.
